Recently, the Federal Government passed a bill that allows businesses to NOT provide customers’ with receipts for electronic purchases under $15.00. Many merchants will still continue to provide receipts – they are now just not obligated to do so.
Affinity Bank checking account customers, as well as anyone with a checking account, may be in a position where they might not get a receipt from a merchant so we are providing a few helpful hints to make sure your account stays in balance:
Hint #1
Keep enough money in your checking account where an occasional $15 debit won’t put you at risk of overdrawing your account.
Hint #2
Keep a small piece of paper in your wallet where you can record these small transactions when they occur and transfer them to your checkbook at a later time.
